An appeal with the Public for the

Prohibition of Beggary

Section 3 of Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975 prohibits begging in the state of Karnataka.

Persons those involved in Begging are punishable under Section 12 of Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary Act, 1975 by detaining upto 3 years.

The owners of a Land/ Site/ Building in Local Authority, are paying 3% of Beggary Cess and its is being used for the Welfare of Beggars.

Kindly complain about any person found begging in Bengaluru City to the nearest police station or The Superintendent, Nirashrithara Parihara Kendra.

 

 

In case of other districts kindly complain to the nearest police station, or Nirashrithara Parihara Kendras.

By giving Alms to Beggars is like promoting Beggary. Therefore Stop giving Alms.
